At the Design Guild SF we are always looking for new members who will be a positive addition to our group. We strive to maintain a dynamic environment with a mix of disciplines that compliment one another. We have an admissions process to maintain balance between the disciplines and to keep our standards of work high.
There are certain guidelines we follow to maintain a positive, open, and professional environment:
Confidentiality- Design Guild members agree not share the proprietary information of other members and their clients.
Interaction and Non-Competition- Some members of the Guild share overlapping areas of practice and expertise. Members agree to not knowingly compete with other members who have established clients. If new prospective clients inquire about design services in a particular field through the Guild, the members in that field will be asked to work out an arrangement that is agreeable to those members before contacting the client. We’ve found that the collaboration, learning opportunities and client references achieved by having members with similar practices far outweighs any concerns about competition between members if we respect these rules.
Participation- The Design Guild is only as strong as our members, and you only get out of it what you put into it. We strive to put together a schedule of fun, educational, networking and business development events. We hope you will take an active roll in joining us for events and helping us create new ones. We welcome your feedback on ways we can improve our value to you. Also, please feel free to promote the Design Guild and Guild events to your friends and colleagues in and out of the design community. We’ve found that showing support for other members’ endeavors benefits everyone in the group. Also, the stronger and larger our group becomes, the more we can leverage a growing membership for joint promotional activities, group discounts, and shared resources.
