The Design Guild SF headquarters is located near Southpark in the SOMA district- an area with a rich history in art, design, architecture and technology. Our two story building is a collective design studio where many Design Guild members run their businesses. The top floor is a bright, open-plan office space with hardwood floors and large skylights. The area is divided with bookcases and custom partitions to allow each small business to carve out their own area, while maintaining a vibrant and social environment. Downstairs is a flexible gallery and event space, conference rooms, a kitchen and a model shop.
The shared studio provides a great atmosphere for independent designers and small firms. Working in proximity with other designers encourages discussion, collaboration and support, which inspires us to do our best work. It’s also more fun. The studio allows small firms to project a professional image to their clients while sharing many of the fixed costs and design resources.
